Legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Ignition Autohaus (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through ignitionautohaus.com.au. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you submit the booking form we collect the information you give us: your name, mobile number, email address, vehicle make, model and year, your preferred service date, any message you write, and any photos you choose to attach. Photos are optional — the form works without them.
If you call or email us directly, we collect whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your booking enquiry and confirm a time.
- To contact you about the work on your vehicle, including seeking your approval before any additional work.
- To keep a service history for your vehicle.
- To meet our record-keeping obligations, including for roadworthy certificates.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Analytics and cookies
This website may use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed and whether a booking enquiry was submitted. These tools may set cookies and collect device and usage data. They do not receive the contents of your booking enquiry.
You can block cookies through your browser settings. The site remains usable with cookies disabled.
Third parties
Your enquiry is delivered to us by email or through a form-handling service. Our website embeds a Google Map and may link to our Instagram profile; those services have their own privacy policies and are outside our control.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
