Terms of Service
These terms apply to work carried out by Ignition Autohaus at 148 Derrimut Dr, Derrimut VIC 3026, and to booking enquiries made through this website.
Bookings and enquiries
Submitting the booking form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed once we come back to you and agree a date. We aim to respond the same business day. Our trading hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Quotes and approval
We give you a price before we start. If we find additional work, we will contact you with the details and, where useful, photos. We will not carry out additional work without your approval.
Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time. Parts availability and pricing can change, and faults occasionally turn out to be more involved than they first appear. If that happens we will tell you before proceeding.
Advertised offers
Servicing starts from $180. The actual price depends on the vehicle, the service interval and the parts required. Advertised inclusions apply while the offer is advertised and may be withdrawn or changed at any time. Offers cannot be combined unless we say so.
Your vehicle
Please remove valuables before leaving your vehicle with us. We take reasonable care of vehicles in our possession but are not responsible for personal items left inside.
Vehicles should be collected on the agreed day. Storage may be charged for vehicles left beyond a reasonable period after we tell you the work is complete.
Payment
Payment is due on collection unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We provide an itemised invoice. Vehicles remain our property in possession until payment is made in full.
Roadworthy certificates
Roadworthy inspections are carried out by a licensed tester to VicRoads standards. A roadworthy certificate reflects the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection against those standards. It is not a warranty, a guarantee of reliability, or a substitute for a mechanical inspection.
Pre-purchase inspections
A pre-purchase inspection reports on what can reasonably be assessed at the time, without dismantling the vehicle. It cannot detect every possible fault or predict future failures. The decision to buy remains yours.
Workmanship
If something is not right with work we have carried out, bring the vehicle back to us and we will look at it. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which gives you guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services are provided with due care and skill.
Logbook servicing and new-car warranty
Australian law lets you service your vehicle at any qualified independent workshop without voiding a manufacturer's new-car warranty. We service to manufacturer specification and stamp your logbook.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
